The Episcopal Church has compiled its membership and average Sunday attendance (ASA) figures for 2008, but is not releasing them. So much for transparency!
Membership and attendance figures have dropped every year since the consecration of the church's first openly-gay bishop, the Rev. Gene Robinson, as bishop of New Hampshire, in 2003.
The 2008 figures must reveal further shrinkage.
