Another Loss for TEC

On Friday, November 7 the Diocese of Quincy voted to leave The Episcopal Church and join the Anglican Province of Southern Cone. The resolution may be read here.

This comes after much speculation concerning the recent announcement by Bishop Keith Ackerman that he would retire effective November 1.

The Episcopal Church continues to lose dioceses, congregations, funding, and clergy and laity. The consecration of a gay bishop, heresy, paganism, public support for radical Islamic leaders, a pro-abortion stance, and same-sex ceremonies in the churches, are among the reasons given for defecting. What was once a vital denomination is quickly becoming a small sect.
